A Message on Admissions from the Administrator
With the introduction of Community Senior High Schools and the Free SHS policy, quality secondary education has become more accessible than ever before, bringing schools closer to the doorstep of every BECE candidate across Ghana. However, gaining admission is only the beginning of the journey — what truly matters is the quality of education received and the results achieved upon completion.
At Golden Step School Complex, we do not merely teach students to pass examinations. We teach them to appreciate and navigate life beyond the classroom. Our tuition, feeding, and training programmes are carefully structured to produce well-rounded, confident, and capable individuals. For example, our students do not simply study ICT to pass a paper — they are equipped to practically apply technology in whatever field or environment they find themselves after school. This is the Golden Step difference.
We are equally mindful that the calibre of students admitted has a direct bearing on the quality of teaching and the results we produce. We are therefore deliberate and careful in our admissions process. That said, we make compassionate exceptions for students with modest entry grades who demonstrate a genuine readiness and willingness to learn — because we believe that with the right environment and guidance, every motivated young person can excel.

1. Crèche & Day Care

Ghanaian Applicants
Candidates must present their BECE results with good grades in English Language and Mathematics, and an aggregate of 30 or better from their best six subjects, English and Mathematics inclusive.

International candidates must present academic credentials equivalent to the Ghanaian Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Special Consideration
Compassionate exceptions are made for Ghanaian students with modest BECE performance who demonstrate a genuine willingness and readiness to learn and grow.
How to Apply
Prospective students and parents may apply through any of the following ways:
Online: Visit our website and click the Apply Now button to complete and submit the online admission form. A PDF copy will be generated and sent to the school automatically.
In Person: Visit any of our three campuses and request a printed application form from the school office. Our admissions team is available Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.
